Wax melts are scented pieces of wax that are warmed in a wax burner or electric warmer to release fragrance. They do not have a wick. As the wax melts, it forms a pool of warm wax that gradually fills the room with scent.

What are wax melts?

Are wax melts stronger than candles?

Many people find wax melts offer a more immediate scent throw because the fragrance is released as soon as the wax melts. The strength will vary depending on the fragrance and room size.
How do I use Orinoco wax melts?

Place one wax melt in the dish of your wax burner. If using a tealight burner, light an unscented tealight below. If using an electric warmer, simply switch it on.
The wax will gently warm and release its fragrance into the room. There’s no need to add water, just melt and enjoy.
How long does one wax melt last?

On average, each Orinoco wax melt gives you around 6 to 8 hours of beautiful scent, but it depends on the fragrance, your burner type, and how long you keep it going. Once the scent fades, it’s time to remove the leftover wax and pop in a fresh one. The wax itself won’t evaporate, it just stops releasing fragrance.
Do wax melts evaporate?

No. The wax remains in the burner. The fragrance oils are gradually released, leaving unscented wax behind.
What’s the best way to remove used wax from the burner?

Once the scent has faded, let the wax cool and solidify. Then gently press or scoop it out—many melts pop out easily once hardened. If it’s stubborn, try placing the burner dish in the freezer for a few minutes to help the wax shrink and release.
Alternatively, while the wax is still warm (but not hot), you can soak it up with cotton pads or paper towel. Always wipe the dish clean before adding a new melt to keep your fragrance fresh and true.
