From lighting and burning to skinuse and scent care, it’s all here, simple, clear, and grounded in bestpractice.

Massage Candles: Skin & Flame Care

  • Light Carefully
Burn for 20–35 minutes at first or until a full, even melt pool is created. Always use on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from curtains, bedding, or flammable items.
  • Let the Balm Cool
Blow out the flame, wait 1–2 minutes, then test the oil with your fingertips before using it on larger areas, then you can pour it on your hands. Never pour hot massage balm directly onto skin.
  • Patch-Test First
If your skin is sensitive, do a small patch test before using on larger areas and wait a few hours to check for any reactions. Especially important due to essential oils.
  • Store & Extinguish Safely
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Don't let your massage candle exposed to the elements, always put it back in its pouch or place the lid on. Keep out of reach of children and pets, and snuff gently with a candle snuffer, never with water.

Taper Candles: Elegant & Responsible Burning

  • Stable Set-Up
Always use a sturdy, heat-resistant holder that catches drips. Keep them away from drafts, plants, fabric, or papers.
  • Trim & Monitor the Flame
Trim the wick to about 6mm (¼ in) before lighting. Never burn longer than 3–4 hours at a time.
  • Never Leave Unattended
Always extinguish the candle before leaving the room or going to sleep. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • End with Purpose
Stop burning when only ~2 inches remain to keep the flame under control and safe.

Wax Melts: Safe Melting

  • Choose the Right Burner
Use either a tealight-based or certified electric burner designed for wax melts.
  • Safe Placement
Always place the burner on a stable, heat-resistant surface, at least 60cm away from flammable materials. Never leave it unattended.
  • Watch the Wax Pool
Do not overfill the dish, 1–2 melts are enough. Remove debris like matchsticks before lighting.
  • Handle with Care
Do not move hot burners or touch the dish while in use or immediately after. Allow to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Removing Used Wax
Once cooled, gently press out hardened wax or briefly remelt before wiping it away. Never use sharp tools, they can crack the dish.
  • Ventilate & Moderate
Burn for no more than 3–4 hours at a time. Ensure good ventilation, some
studies show ventilated rooms are healthier due to VOCs released.
